The Timeline Of Maxine + Devin's Love.

When GLP Met Maxine + Devin.

We met Maxine and Devin at a Starbucks in Otsego, Michigan at the beginning of 2019. Maxine's Mama had found GLP online while browsing for wedding photographers for the couple, and set up our meeting.

As soon as we met, I instantly loved Maxine's sweet, yet spunky personality, and Devin's balancing laid-back, but fun persona. They were wearing the cutest coordinating outfits; Maxine in a pretty black summer dress with big pink flowers on it, Devin in nice jeans, with a polo that was a perfectly matching pink to the flowers on Maxine's dress. They even have matching tattoos of a floral arrangement on their arms. They seemed to be connected by an invisible glowing chord, like soulmates. Which, after learning about Devin's parents (another couple I instantly adored) love story, it felt that finding soulmates seemed to run in the family.

From there we went on to capture their engagement photos, wedding day, 1-year anniversary, and now, their new family together. We couldn't be more honored to have met such incredible humans, and also be able to help with such special moments in their lives.

Since we have been so lucky to capture some of their love story in photos, we thought it would be fun to share a brief timeline of their love story. Which Maxine graciously agreed to, and patiently endured all of my questions. ♥

2016

When they met.

It was 2016, Maxine was a sophomore in high school, a cheerleader, part of her school's color guard team, an active girl with lots of energy for life.

Devin was also in high school, a senior prepared to graduate early and ready to seek out his future. After some encouragement from mutual friends, Devin reached out to Maxine online. They chatted, and Devin extended an invite to his graduation party to Maxine. Leading a full, busy life, Maxine wasn't able to make it and just wasn't ready to be in a relationship.

2017

A year later, 2017, after not having much contact, and not having met in-person yet, fate intervened.

While out at the same store, at the same time, Devin saw Maxine. He wasn't ready to approach her, but it did inspire him to reach back out to her. Their true friendship beginning from there.

May of that same year, they became officially a couple, to June moving in together.

2018

New Year's Eve, 2018. The ball dropped, and so did Devin to one knee, to ask Maxine to be his forever partner. Of course, she said yes.

2019

August 16th of 2019, Maxine and Devin were married. Their wedding was a charmingly intimate event with their closest family and friends. It was held in Martin, Michigan at The Music Barn.

2020

Even though our world was a little crazy... Okay, A LOT crazy. Something we are still learning to navigate. Maxine and Devin were not letting that hold them back from enjoying their first full year into married life. 2020, They moved into their own place, creating a home for themselves and added their cat, Salem to the family.

In December, they found out that Salem would not be their only baby for much longer, finding out that they would soon be expecting their first child.

2021

June, 2021, in their cozy home, baby on the way, Salem living his best life, the couple added Casey, their dog. A pup that they sometimes refer to as "Patrick" due to his silly, derpy personality that reminds them of Patrick in the TV show, SpongeBob.

August came and they celebrated their wedding anniversary, and Devin's birth month. One that he would now share with his new son, Jasper.
Jasper was born August 25th, 2021.

2022

Currently March of 2022.
Maxine and Devin still best friends and very happily in love. Now parents to the super adorable 6-month-old, Jasper.

I know I for one can't wait to see how the rest of their timeline of love goes. It's sure to be something amazing with these two, their wonderful families, precious fur babies and even more precious little boy. A little boy that will grow up seeing what soulmates looks like from his parents and grandparents.
